"I want to start a business, but I can't read."

Future Hope Africa - Bukavu

Future Hope Africa’s Focus business training is expanding to serve aspiring entrepreneurs who can’t yet read.

Our Focus Business School helps people get started as entrepreneurs. (In Bukavu, being an entrepreneur isn’t glamorous. It can mean selling fish or shoes in the market.)

Our training teaches sound business principles built on a foundation of honesty and ethical practices. Dozens of people have graduated and started on a path toward self-sufficiency.

But what if you can’t read? Until now, there was no training for someone who is illiterate. A few generous gifts have helped us to begin creating a Focus business training for those who can’t yet read. Pictures and drawings will substitute for some of the traditional class’s text-oriented presentations.

The Swedish founders of Focus Business School are excited to hear about this new approach and will follow our results enthusiastically.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to help bring life transformation and dignity to the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Your gifts to Future Hope Africa help children, families and communities become educated and self-sufficient.
