FUTURE HOPE AFRICA YEAR-END GIVING OPPORTUNITY
Help us put ministry on the move with our first vehicle
With a gift to our auto fund, you’ll help us make a difference every day.
In the West, we take access to vehicles for granted. But in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, most people can’t afford them. Since we work with hundreds of families throughout a large area, transportation is essential. Bukavu, however, has no public transit service. There are no buses or trains. This leaves the vast majority of citizens (including us) reliant upon minibus taxis (which are usually jammed with people) and motorcycle taxis.
“You can imagine the challenges your church or ministry would face without reliable transportation – and the difference a vehicle makes in multiplying ministry.”
Our ministry can take big strides forward by owning a modest vehicle.
A vehicle will help us:
Complete daily errands for the center’s many needs
This includes banking, which can be dangerous when done via taxi.Ministry to our community
Visits to families we serve
Bereavement visits
Delivering supplies to people in need (widows, orphans and others)
Visits to school partners to provide scholarship funds and share our mobile learning library.
There are also several other opportunities, including
Transportation during Vacation Bible School
Mail, package and supply retrieval
Transportation of ministry guests, including six-hour trips to airports in Rwanda and Burundi
We’re thankful for the progress you’ve helped us make, but we’ve got miles to go! We look forward to crossing the finish line.
While a vehicle won’t enable us to meet every need, it will help us serve more people on a daily basis.
Our budget goal for a vehicle is $15,000. This is more costly than a comparable used vehicle in the United States. Why? High import fees and limited availability drive up prices. Yet this amount is enough for a reliable car to serve the needs of Future Hope Africa.
Will you join us in helping serve more people. Gifts are tax deductible in the United States.
Thank you!
